Naftalan is a city in the west of Azerbaijan. It is on an agricultural plain near the Lesser Caucasus Mountains. The word naftalan also means a petroleum product which can be obtained there. The population is 77000. After Ganja, this city is the second largest city in West Azerbaijan.
There is an approximate distance of 338 km from Naftalan to Baku. From Baku, travel to this city is possible through buses and cars. This city is active in health tourism, which is unique in the world.
